“Inner City the Musical”

Conceived by Tom O’Horgan; Music by Helen Miller; Lyrics by Eve Merriam; Based on the book “The Inner City Mother Goose” by Eve Merriam; Music orchestrated by Gordon Harrell; Music arranged by Gordon Harrell; Musical Director: Clay Fullum; Vocal arrangements by Helen Miller. The musical captures the essence of the time we are experiencing right now with the voices of our youth being heard through music.

“A Soldier’s Play”

A Soldier’s Play is a drama by Charles Fuller. The play uses a murder mystery to explore the complicated feelings of anger and resentment that some African Americans have toward one another, and the ways in which many black Americans have absorbed white racist attitudes.

“Hush Da Gullah”

By Eleanor Kinlaw-Ross, Author, playwright, producer, & cultural historian tells the story of how a return trip changes a person’s life, after many years of being a completely different kind of person in a completely different environment. This critically acclaimed play has been hailed as a classic as it reminds us of a true Gullah experience.

“God’s Trombones”

A true James Weldon Johnson classic “God’s Trombones”: This collection of Seven Negro Sermons with Gospel and Spiritual music shares traditional African-American religious oratory styles.
